Custom Laser Cutting

Orders may be cancelled only within 24 hours of order placement. After 24 hours, orders are non-cancellable and non-refundable because material may have been ordered and file review or pre-production work may have begun.

If a file is not production-ready, Kustomizables will invoice a $10 file-preparation fee. Refusing a required file-preparation fee does not reopen the cancellation window. Production will not begin until all required balances are paid and the PNG proof is approved.

If Kustomizables determines during file review that a design cannot reasonably be produced as ordered, we will first offer a workable alternative when available. If no workable alternative exists or the customer declines it, the affected order will be refunded. This is the standard voluntary refund exception for custom cutting orders, subject to rights required by applicable law.

Standard production time is 7–10 business days after final proof approval and all required payments are received. Time spent waiting for customer responses, revisions, or proof approval is not part of the production window.

Accepted file types: SVG, DXF, PNG, JPG and JPEG. PDF files are not accepted. Files must clearly communicate what is cut, scored and engraved. Special instructions that contradict the file's production colors mean the file is not laser-ready and file preparation is required.

PNG proofs are for approval only. Editable, vector, SVG or laser-ready production files are not included with an order or with the $10 file-preparation service.

If Kustomizables prepares or adjusts a file and the customer wants the final laser-ready SVG released, a $10 Production File Release fee applies. Released files are licensed for personal production. A one-time $10 Kustomizables Commercial License allows the customer account to use eligible released files indefinitely to create physical products for resale. Digital files may never be sold, shared, redistributed, sublicensed, uploaded, or otherwise distributed.

Customer-supplied materials are never accepted. Acrylic masking is removed before delivery/pickup. Acrylic is supplied with the laser-cut edge as produced; flame polishing, buffing, sanding and additional edge finishing are not offered.

Laser-cut wood naturally has darkened/charred edges and may show minor laser marks. These are normal characteristics of laser cutting and are not considered defects. We wipe loose residue and clear engraving dust as normal production cleanup.

DualTite and 3M 468MP backing, when purchased, are applied to the material before cutting and arrive on the backs of the finished pieces. Adhesive backing is the only applied backing/attachment service offered through this calculator.

Shipping is available to the contiguous 48 United States only. Shipping is $9.95 for orders containing 1–20 physical pieces and $20 for 21+ physical pieces. Free local pickup is available.

Shipping damage must be reported within 48 hours of carrier-confirmed delivery with photos of the affected pieces and packaging. The standard remedy for a valid shipping-damage claim is replacement of the affected pieces.

Carrier transit and delivery are outside Kustomizables' control after the parcel is transferred to the carrier. Lost-package or delivery claims must be filed with the carrier. Orders returned because of an incorrect/incomplete customer-provided address require payment of a new shipping charge before reshipment.

Local pickup orders must be collected within 30 days of the ready-for-pickup notification. After 30 days, the order is considered abandoned with no refund or remake.
